About

We tell the history of games through eras: labs, arcades, home consoles, computers, the network, smartphones and VR.

Venue
Vokzal 1853, Saint Petersburg
Address
Saint Petersburg, 118 Obvodny Canal Embankment, Vokzal 1853
Enter from the Obvodny Canal side, look for the glass atrium.
The console hall: an 1980s living room with a NES and Super Mario Bros. on the TV, next to a board about the game controller.

The museum's first venue is Vokzal 1853 in Saint Petersburg. The exhibition leads through eras: from the first experiments and arcades to consoles, PCs, mobile games and VR.

Many devices can be tried out, and the interiors and objects of each era show not only the hardware but the culture around games.

The museum goes on beyond the exhibition: the website grows a game encyclopedia, a digital library and other interactive projects.

Team

The museum is made by collectors, video game researchers, designers, architects, engineers and producers. Each is responsible for their own layer: from historical accuracy and exhibits to the space and the play experience.
